Markoulakis Publications was founded in 2005, primarily as a background establishment to publish the Σparta periodical (ISSN 1751-0007). Today, the Publications is an independent international publishing house with authors from all over the world and selling stock of books and Journals in a global audience.

Throughout this year the Publications seek to maintain its links with Nottingham Trent University and its schools and academic departments. Most of the traditional publishing processes are carried out in-house with a well-established editorial, production, design and marketing professionals. At present more than 20 individuals are employed by the Publications.
